Would you describe yourself as an athlete?
Yes.  Although I am 44 years old, I work out on a regular basis and I guess I would describe myself as a ‘Runner’.

Have you always been a runner??
I didn’t really start running until I was in my late 20’s.  I’ve always tried to eat right and stay in shape.  However, as I have gotten older, like all of us, I have found it harder to maintain. So, little by little, I added running to my workout routine.  Overtime, I really learned to love it.  For me, running gives me a sense of accomplishment and peace of mind.

Do you participate in many races?
I think I have run 16 half marathons and 2 full marathons.  I really enjoy the half marathons.  I feel that’s a good distance for me.  Plus, there is no better way to learn your way around a city, than to physically run in that area.

What motivates you to train and compete harder?
I think that my family plays a big part.  Maintaining a consistent run schedule keeps me in shape both physically and mentally.  This fitness allows me to be a happier father and husband.  And in the long term, I think that running gives me the best chance to live a full and complete life.  I want to stay healthy so that I can be there for my kids well into their adult years.

Any tips on nutrition that you try and follow?
Sure. I guess the more you run, the more you realize the your diet plays a part in your success.  I used to drink soda and eat foods that were high in fat.  When you run, those bad decisions, really have an effect on your performance.  Over time, you actually want to eat better so that you can get more out of your workouts.   So, I cut out the soda and minimized my junk food. Also,  I try and drink a lot of water throughout the day.   Especially after a workout or run.

How did you hear about Beet It Sport?
I read an article a few years ago on the benefits of beet juice. I found it interesting that the beetroot could have so much physical benefit.  Specifically, it’s a great source of potassium calcium and vitamin C. So, I went on-line and found your product.

Did you notice a benefit to using Beet It Sport?
 I did. I use the Beet-Shots on a daily basis and I have noticed an improvement in my running stamina.  I can run for longer periods without hitting a wall. Also, my head just feels clearer and more focused throughout the day.  It also helps with recovery.  I am completely sold on the product.
